You spend the whole shift in traffic. Every stop has a clock on it, and every red light costs you.
If anger has you following, blocking or chasing another car, pull over and stop first.

What the job piles on
Delivery work stacks small delays on top of each other. None of them is big. Together they keep your body ready for a fight.
That is why the size stops matching. A car that waits too long at a green light gets the anger of the whole day.
The pattern underneath
The Rage Pattern is the name for a reaction far bigger than what set it off. You may know the moment after, hands tight on the wheel.
It runs in the same order most days. A delay. Heat in the face or chest. The horn, or words, before you choose them.
Where to catch it on the road
Behavioral Interception is the practice of catching an automatic pattern as it begins, intercepting its usual response, and practicing a different action until it becomes more natural.
Start with the body signal, your grip tightening on the wheel or heat rising in your face. Feel it and name the pattern out loud.
Then take a different action. Drop back a car length and breathe out slowly. Let the other car go.
At your next stop, sit still for thirty seconds before you get out. Let the last delay end there.
