    The Circuit Break Card

Write the short line you will say out loud when a pattern runs. Then write what you will do instead. Save it as a card for your phone.

Nothing you type here is sent or stored. Close the tab and the card is gone, so save it before you go.

STEP ONE: THE LINE YOU SAY

The spoken interruption itself. One short sentence, out loud, naming the body signal and declining the behavior. It has to be spoken because the circuit runs below language. Whisper counts. Silent does not.

    STEP TWO: THE DIFFERENT ACTION

Intercept: Interrupt the usual response and choose a different action before the old pattern completes.

Rewrite: Repeat the different action until it becomes easier to reach when the signal returns.

    Three lines from the files

Each pattern file has a line like this. Here are three, word for word. Yours will use your own words.

“Stomach dropped. Nothing happened. I am not paying for this one.”

From the file: The Apology Loop

“Heat is up. This is not the size of the thing. I am not speaking yet.”

From the file: The Rage Pattern

“Jaw is tight. This is exposure, not quality. I am sending it as it is.”

From the file: The Perfectionism Trap

The card does not read what you write, and it does not name a pattern. Read more on the circuit break and on the protocol page .

    THE ARCHIVES

A script you wrote for a behavior you named. If you want the pattern under it named too, that is the assessment.
